  Lōkahi Foundation, a Washington State non-profit, charitable corporation, managed by passionate Native Hawaiians. The word "Lōkahi",
  in the Hawaiian language means unity and harmony. The foundation's directors, officers and supporters are 100% volunteers.
 
  Lōkahi Foundation is a Community Partner with USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion Nutrition Communicators Network.
  We are working with USDA to reach consumers and help them make meaningful, sustainable, healthy dietary changes, based on the
  Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2011. The foundation is listed with United Way of Pierce County Washington.
 

  Our Mission is to unite all ethnicity and genders together as one in harmony through education, environmental stewardship, healthy living,

  and cultural activities.

 

  Education:

        • Promote literacy through one-on-one tutoring and community participation.

        • Provide read to children community programs.

        • Offer safe technology applications.

        • Supply hands-on business to business real-time opportunities and training. 

        • Promote science and math.
                ●  Provide, support and promote entrepreneurship and volunteerism.

 

  Environment:

        • Do and speak for those (wildlife) who cannot do it themselves.

        • Provide outdoor classes using community service beautification opportunities.

        • Promote sustainable living through inspired, environmental education and relevance, implementation of environmental applications.

 

  Culture:

          • Support and assist those in need.

        • Perpetuate Hawaiian cultural knowledge, family values, and activities.

        • Provide an annual Hawaiian Culture Celebration Day, commonly called a ho`olaule`a.
